Based in Brooklyn, New York, Mackenzie Reagan-Hadley is a writer, illustrator/painter and cowgirl from the Bootheel of New Mexico who values all things wild, whimsical and mysterious.

Her narrative illustration work depicts the wondrous and fantastical through dynamic compositions, vibrant color palettes and visual storytelling that captures. Being an avid book worm and writer herself, Mackenzie’s work is geared towards the world of books and publishing, and she’s collaborated with clients such as Rainbow Crate and other individual authors on character illustrations, covers and other books art (end pages, etc.).

Mackenzie’s writing uses wit, humor and heart to explore the emotional complexities of youth through action-packed adventures and mind bending mysteries for younger readers. She’s currently in the thick of drafting a middle grade magical mystery novel that perplexes even her sometimes…

She has received a BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design and is currently in pursuit of an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School with a concentration in Writing for Children and Young Adults.
